Then this 7 day Yoga & Horse journey in World Heritage Site Wadi Rum is for you.

On this journey we will explore the desert on horse back with a Bedouin guide, sleep under the stars, reflect with the Pink Spirit herd, practise yoga, chant, share in sacred circle and send your blessings into the universe at our fire ceremony. And if you prefer to extend, you can continue to Petra and Dead Sea for a 11 day journey.

The Bedouins consider the Arab horse as a gift of God. They take great pride in them; in their story telling the before it would be an honour to gift your most precious horse to the King and until this date there are stables who breed the pure Arab horse for prestige and endurance races. Exploring this unique World Heritage Site on horse back is a truly unforgettable experience!

DAY 2 DAY PROGRAM

Day 1: Arrival. Madaba - Bed & Breakfast
You are awaited by your driver to take you to your hotel to meet the rest of your group. If there is time you can visit St George Church or the archeological museum with stunning mosaics. Madaba has some lovely restaurants and choice of wines to enjoy at your own leisure.

Day 2: Wadi Rum camp - Half Board
After breakfast group departure at about 9 am to southern Desert of Wadi Rum. At the village jeeps await you to take you to your camp for lunch. Welcome by yoga teacher and horse woman Sandra of Pink Spirit Wellness Retreats. Introduction circle and preparing for sunset yoga. Buffet Dinner, grounding meditation and sound bath.

Day 3: Horse Tour. Wadi Rum Private Camp - Full Board.
Morning vinyasa yoga session breakfast. You have a two hour ride in the morning till lunch and 2,5-3 hour ride in the afternoon. The ride starts from the Wadi Rum village, passing a large sand dune and going to Khazali Canyon for lunch. After lunch you will visit the small rock arch, pass by the Lawrence’s house and Nabataean inscriptions. Overnight in the desert at Um Isrhin either inside a tent or -for the more adventurous - outside and fall asleep counting the shooting stars.

Day 4: Horse Tour. Wadi Rum Camp - Full Board
After a good breakfast, you ride to Burrah Canyon and spend about an hour riding through the canyon. Next, you visit the Um Fruth Arch, where you can take beautiful pictures. We will have lunch where the white and red desert meet. After lunch, you ride to the Burdah Arch and then continue to your campsite not far from Burdah Bridge. Here, you enjoy a delicious dinner under the starry desert sky before settling in for the night.

Day 5: Horse Tour. Wadi Rum Camp - Full Board Today after breakfast you walk through a small canyon and go to the famous arch of Wadi Rum, Umm Fruth Arch. The lunch will be between the red and white desert, Um Mugur. This is in the South of Wadi Rum near the Saoudi border. From this day the riding will be in the white desert which is a less touristic place where you can enjoy the beautiful Sweibet Valley and have lunch here. The afternoon you cross the Nqura Canyon and sleep in a valley called Sabet Valley. From here you can see the highest mountain of Jordan, Um Ad Dami. Here, you enjoy a delicious dinner under the starry desert sky before settling in for the night.

Day 6: Horse Tour. Wadi Rum Camp - Full Board
Today we’ll ride to Jebel Al Qatar spring, uncovering the secrets of an ancient Bedouin cemetery. Lunch in the expansive desert. After lunch we return to the red desert and its magnificent volcano mountains and ride back to the village, we hop on a jeep back to our desert camp to refresh and meet Sandra for dinner. You will be served a special Bedouin dinner, the zarb cooked underground, followed by a guided chakra meditation.

Day 7: Horse Alchemy.Wadi Rum Private Camp - Full Board
After breakfast, you will have a transfer to the Pink Spirt stable for Soul Spark Rituals with the herd. Horses intuitively mirror back to us our Soul Essence and show what patterns limit our growth, what wisdom can we gather, what emotional blocks can we release in order to step more fully into the moment and into our most authentic, inspired and powerful self. A full day at the stable engaging in the paddock with a herd of horses and a donkey. Lunch in the Bedouin Tent and thereafter closing circle. We then transfer to our private camp at um Ishrin for sunset yoga, dinner and fire ceremony. Share stories, release limiting beliefs and send our blessings to the stars.

Day 8: Little Petra - HB
Morning yoga and breakfast. Then an integrative Omen Walk....what does the desert reflect back to us? What signs do we take with us on our onward journey? Transfer to Udhruh to have lunch with the weaving women of LUMEYO - a social enterprise that focuses on reviving the Bedouin weaving craft and empowering women. Then we continue to Little Petra, and after a short exploration, relaxation and dinner at Namala camp. Namala Camp is situated in a beautiful peaceful valley. In the evening the Bedouin owner will share the coffee making ritual with us.

Day 9: Full day visit Petra - Half board
Today we will explore World Heritage Site Petra, the Red- Rose City.
A local Guide will take us via the back road to the Monastery - a majestic 43m high facade. There after you continue at your own pace to visit church, castle, royal tombs, high place of sacrifice and/or amphitheater. And last but not least; the treasury! You will return via the 30m high walled Siq. Dinner & stay at Namala Camp.

Day 10: Dead Sea - Madabah HB
After breakfast you will depart on a scenic tour to the Dead Sea. At the Moevenpick Dead Sea Resort you are expected for lunch and float. Rub yourself with mineral rich much, float 431m below sea level, breath oxygen rich air, eat delicous food and have some fresh fruit juices. Relax and restore! At about 5 pm your driver awaits you to take you your hotel in Madaba. Dinner at your own leisure.

Day 11: Departure - BB
Today is your time to return home or you may opt to prolong your stay and visit Amman, Wadi Mujib and/or Jerash.

Horse lovers Ali Zalabiah and Sandra - Sarah Nour - Jelly, share their passion for Arab horses and the desert of Wadi Rum.

Ali is a Bedouin guide who grew up with his horses in the desert and Sandra is a Dutch adventurer who followed her heart into the desert....

Ali will guide the horse rides and host you during the nights and Sarah Nour offers the mindfulness sessions. They invite you on an unforgettable horse & mindful journey into the vastness and stillness of Wadi Rum to immerse yourself in the beauty of the desert.

The trek through the desert was magical. It felt very special to cross such a beautiful and varied landscape with the fantastic horses and guide and to sleep under the stars. The yoga and meditation with the expert and very personal guidance of Sarah Nour was a great addition because it further deepened and enriched the experience of being in the desert for me.

The trip offered plenty of opportunity to further discover Jordan: Madaba, Petra and the Dead Sea showed a lot of the beauty that Jordan and its friendly people have to offer. And also the ride in the mountains around Petra on fiery Arabian horses was fantastic.

The organization and communication around the trip was good and we were treated excellent with delicious food.
